Ok, this song is relatively new. I discovered it on Chris Tomlin’s Christmas album last year. But even though it’s new I’m pretty sure it’s my favorite Christmas song!! This song is pure, simple and captures the coming of Christ in a gripping way. The picture blows me away. Jesus could have come with 10,000 angels, chariots, rocket launchers…. whatever. But he didn’t. He chose Mary, He chose a stable, and He chose a cross. Just like a soft winter snow, if you’re not paying attention, you’ll miss Jesus. Many people have, many people do and many people will. Even at Christmas when we’re supposed to be celebrating HIM, we miss Him. We get distracted by the blinking lights, the door buster sales and the peppermint mochas and we forget all about the gently falling snow. We forget all about Jesus. Check this song out and put Jesus back at the center of your Christmas.
